Anyware Sense™ – Actionable Insights in the Classroom
August 30, 2024Anyware Care™ is designed to enhance the well-being and quality of life for both the elderly and their relatives through an ethical, dignified, and respectful solution for monitoring 'anomalies' in the elderly's behavior patterns.
The system sends care notifications to invited relatives or professional caregivers if irregularities are detected and monitors only during agreed-upon periods (e.g. only at nighttime) and for specific 'anomalies' (e.g. only sending notifications if the elderly person is not up and active in the morning).
Additionally, monitoring is suspended if multiple people are detected in the elderly person's home, prioritizing privacy and ethics. The logic here is that another person present can take action if help is needed. This respects the privacy of the elderly, their relatives, and professional caregivers.
Relatives also have easy access to the solution as a 'digital aid' based on smart home technology via platforms like Amazon, when the need is recognized, without having to go through an approval and referral process with the municipality.
The improved well-being and quality of life are achieved for the elderly through increased and dignified security (someone will be notified if help is needed); for relatives through peace of mind with a respectful solution accepted by the elderly; and for professional caregivers by enabling data-driven decisions, thereby providing better and more targeted care, such as insights into how many times the elderly person has been up during the night – and still without feeling 'monitored' in the elderly’s home, since monitoring is suspended when the elderly person is not alone.
