Center for Energy Informatics is an interdisciplinary research center that addresses the development of innovative ICT solutions for integrating and optimizing energy use with energy supply, considering political, social and economic framework conditions.
The Center brings together researchers within the academic fields of software engineering, applied physics, control engineering and management engineering. The center focus is on following five research areas: Smart Energy Business Ecosystems, Smart Buildings, Smart Industries, Smart Energy Networks, and Smart Cities and communities. The research covers IoT technologies, data semantics and software platforms for distributed processing, real-time machine-learning and AI-based control.
