October 22, 2024The Org implemented SKYEN to air out more in the winter-time
The Org operates in two old apartments in central Copenhagen, originally designed for residential use, not offices. With no mechanical ventilation possible, they rely solely on opening windows for fresh air, leading to disagreements among staff about balancing indoor climate and comfort, especially during winter.
The Org implemented the SKYEN system to monitor indoor air quality in preparation for moving to a new office, signal their commitment to employee well-being, promote a healthy work environment, and support startups with impactful missions like ÅBN.
According to Cirkeline Ask, Community Director at The Org:
"SKYEN has been a great tool to help us manage when to ventilate. Before, there was a lot of back-and-forth, but now we use SKYEN as a neutral indicator. When SKYEN turns red, we air out. It’s no longer about one person pushing for it, but SKYEN telling us it’s needed."
Since implementing SKYEN, the team airs out more frequently, especially in winter, overcoming previous resistance due to the cold. SKYEN has shifted the responsibility from individuals to the system, fostering a healthier indoor environment.
